Say goodbye to Suzie Q
Sue Toland, 1951-2008

From her family

Susan J. Toland passed away of cancer at 8:57 a.m. PST on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008. She would have been 57 years of age on Feb. 25.

She is survived by her parents, Patricia and Bernard McKone, sisters Sally McKone, Carolyn Monteleone and Sharon Langford; children Justin Landry and Nicole Chable and grand-daughter Mia Chable.

Sue was a very free-spirited person who was not afraid to die. She instead embraced the opportunity to see what's on the other side.

She never backed down from any challenge, not even on of this magnitude. She touched so many lives and hearts along her journey and will be greatly missed by all.

Sue Toland was a phenomenal humanitarian who loved animals, nature, life and the outdoors with every breath she took. Sue spent her days basking in all the world's glories and the beauties of nature.

In the words of her three year-old grand-daughter, "she now has her angel wings and has flown to heaven to be an angel of God."

She lives in our hearts and souls till we meet again.

God bless you, Sue Toland.

Thank you to all that love her as much as we do. She will be missed.

Celebration of Life Party

Saturday, March 1, 2008

2:30 p.m.

Kerak Shrine

4935 Energy Way

Reno, Nevada

(Turn east off S. Rock Blvd where it parallels the east side of the Reno Airport and go about half a block. The Kerak Shrine is on the north side of Energy Way next door to KTVN TV-2.)

God saw she was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her
and whispered
"Come with me."
With tearful eyes
we watched
her suffer
and saw her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating;
hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes
the best.
